Happiness is a fascinating feeling…
I think it’s one of the world’s most misunderstood states of being.
It has this grandiose aura…happiness this wonderful, esoteric and elusive feeling that only the fortunate among us ever taste.
Think about it – how many people do you come across on a daily basis that aren’t happy? Are you yourself not happy?
And we complain about it as if luck has forgotten about us…
Our job isn’t making us happy, our relationship isn’t making us happy, being in school isn’t making us happy, our current situation isn’t making us happy, our life isn’t making us happy…
But the BIG MISTAKE a lot of us make is expecting happiness to just happen to us.
You see, the crazy thing about happiness is that it’s not a passive feeling – it doesn’t appear in certain people’s lives and forget about others.
Happiness is an ACTIVE EMOTION that you have to work toward. Happiness is a conscious decision you have to make.
As a matter of fact, things conspire against you leading a happy life. I say this because if you don’t take charge of your direction, your life will be controlled by something external to serve the purpose of someone else.
You MUST learn to take control of your direction, take personal responsibility for your happiness, and work on something you don’t like.
If your relationship isn’t making you happy, work on it & change it.
If your job isn’t making you happy, work on it & change it.
If your life isn’t making you happy, work on it & change it.
Being sad or depressed or complaining a bit about your current situation is OK…but if you don’t act on it and make purposeful moves to change it, then you have no one to blame but yourself.
YOU control your happiness. If you believe that some external quality or outside being controls your happiness, you’re delusional.
Happiness is simply a conscious choice to work toward a state of positivity, abundance and optimism..
